Who Is SolarGem?

Unless a homeowner has an interest in solar power chances are good that they are unfamiliar with their local solar power contractors. Homeowners generally don't begin to familiarize themselves with solar power contractors/vendors until they have every intention of purchasing a system for their home. Is it at this time that homeowners began reading reviews and speaking with various clients who've worked with specific contractors in the past to get an idea of who to and not to hire.

Solar Fun Facts Part 1

When the subject of solar power comes up inevitably so does talk of the sun. Many homeowners often wonder just how solar panels convert sunlight into energy but very few of them know much about our host star. Those who have solar power system installed often asked questions such as "how far away is the Sun?" and "how much does the sun weigh?"

Although these questions don't necessarily affect a homeowners impending installation or operation of a solar power system they are fun facts for the inquisitive homeowner.

Our sun is a G2 star composed mostly of hydrogen and helium with trace amounts of other elements found in its atmosphere. As far as distance from Earth is concerned the sun is roughly 93,000,000 miles away from the earth though that distance varies slightly depending on where the Earth is in its orbit. As far as the weight of the sun is concerned it doesn't actually weigh anything. Our star is in an orbital freefall around black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. While the sun doesn't actually weigh anything by Earth standards, it is rather massive comprising 99% of our solar system's mass.

Fun facts aside our sun provides us with a unique opportunity to not only reduce the cost of our energy bills but be environmentally friendly with our energy consumption as well. The technology surrounding solar power has advanced rapidly over the last couple of decades and is more efficient and effective than ever. Should you have any questions about solar power or like a free quote on a system please be sure to contact us that we may be of assistance.

Inconspicuous Solar Panels

When you talk to homeowners about solar power the big bulky and sometimes unattractive solar panels of the past are often the first things that pop into their mind. Homeowners concerned with solar panels negatively impacting the aesthetics of their home can put those concerns to rest as modern solar panels are quite different from those used in the past. Modern solar panels, even those on the largest systems, are not only easy on the eyes but they're far more efficient and effective from a technological standpoint.

We believe that homeowners should never have to sacrifice the beauty of their home for solar power. This is why all of our solar power systems feature solar panels that are both easy to look at it and many times inconspicuous. Our state-of-the-art solar panels look more like they are a natural part of the home rather than some sort of gaudy add-on feature.

If you're interested in solar power but have lingering fears or doubts as to whether solar panels on your home will look attractive or natural please be sure to contact us with those concerns so that we may help you put those to rest.
